1. What Criteria Must a Coach Meet to Become The Motorcoach Store Certified?

We only certify the finest coaches and only those that meet strict eligibility requirements designed to ensure quality, reliability, and long-term value.

To qualify for The Motorcoach Store Certified Pre-Owned Program, a motor coach must meet the following criteria:

The unit must be no more than five years old, based on the current model year.
It must have 50,000 miles or less.
The coach must hold a clean title, with no history of salvage, flood, or branding.
It must show no evidence of major accident damage or structural repairs.
The motor coach must be free of pre-existing mechanical or cosmetic issues at the time of inspection.
It must successfully pass a comprehensive 169 category point inspection, including 400 points of subcategory inspection; completed by The Motorcoach Store’s certified service technicians.
All major systems and components must be fully functional and operational during the inspection process.
A certified dealership technician must complete and sign off on the unit’s final certification documentation.

2. What Do We Do to Certify a Coach?

Once a unit qualifies for certification, it goes through a detailed process to ensure it meets the full standard of The Motorcoach Store’s Certified Pre-Owned Program.
Here’s what we do:

We begin with a full 200+ point inspection, covering every major system in the coach — from chassis, powertrain, generators, drivetrain to appliances, HVAC, plumbing, and freshwater systems.
Every component covered under warranty is tested for full functionality, and any deficiencies are noted.
Our technicians repair or replace any non-compliant parts to bring the unit up to certification standards.
A certified inspection checklist is completed and signed by a trained dealership technician.
The unit is officially designated as Certified Pre-Owned and clearly labeled as such on the lot and online.

This process ensures that every certified motor coach offers reliability and peace of mind from day one.

Every Certified Pre-Owned coach from The Motorcoach Store comes with a Limited 90-day Warranty, offering real protection for key systems and components.

The warranty includes coverage for the following categories:

Pistons, rings, bearings, crankshaft, camshaft, and valves

Water/fuel/oil pumps

Customers can also choose to extend their warranty coverage, adding an extra layer of protection for added confidence on the road.
