Pre-Delivery Inspection

At The Motorcoach Store, our reputation is built on one unwavering principle: “Every coach must earn its place on our front line by meeting our uncompromising standards of quality.”

That is why we have developed one of the most thorough and rigorous Pre-Delivery Inspection processes in the luxury motor coach industry.

Our Rigorous Pre-Delivery Inspection Process

Comprehensive Multi-Point Inspection
01

Comprehensive Multi-Point Inspection

Before delivery, every coach is carefully prepared through our comprehensive 400-point inspection process. Our technicians thoroughly evaluate each major system, including:

  • Chassis, engine, transmission, and drive-train systems
  • Electrical systems, power management, and generators
  • HVAC, plumbing, and freshwater systems
  • Climate and comfort systems (heating, air conditioning, hydronic heat)
  • Appliances, electronics, and kitchen systems
  • Structural, safety, and cosmetic elements inside and out

Each component is tested for full operational performance, ensuring nothing is overlooked.

Repairs, Adjustments & Limited Reconditioning

Repairs, Adjustments & Limited Reconditioning

After inspection, the coach moves to reconditioning.

  • Any non-compliant or defective parts are repaired or replaced using OEM-grade components.
  • Cosmetic and detail work is performed to elevate the coach’s appearance to a premium standard.
  • The coach receives complete interior and exterior detail and paint correction.

Our goal is simple: Each coach delivered is held to a high standard of appearance, quality and performance!

Final Quality Control (QC) Inspection
03

Final Quality Control (QC) Inspection

After reconditioning is complete, every coach undergoes a final Quality Control inspection to ensure it meets The Motorcoach Store’s standards.

  • Our QC team performs a complete top-to-bottom review of the entire coach
  • All major systems and features are tested under real-world conditions
  • The coach is checked for fit, finish, cleanliness, and presentation, ensuring it looks and performs as it should.

Only after passing this rigorous QC review does a coach move to the delivery stage.

Guest Delivery & Orientation
04

Guest Delivery & Orientation

After QC approval, the coach moves to its final stage customer delivery.

  • Each buyer receives a comprehensive orientation and walk-through, covering every system and feature.
  • Our technicians answer questions and demonstrate functionality, ensuring you leave confident and informed.
  • Any last punch-list items are resolved before departure.

From your first drive, you can feel the difference a TMCS PDI makes.

Frequently asked

It is the inspection every coach clears before it is handed over. At The Motorcoach Store it runs to a comprehensive 400-point process covering each major system, followed by reconditioning, a final quality control pass and a delivery orientation.

Every coach is prepared through a comprehensive 400-point inspection process, and our technicians evaluate each major system in turn.

Every coach, whether it is destined for retail sale or part of our Certified Pre-Owned program, must pass this multi-stage process before it ever reaches the front line.

After inspection the coach moves to reconditioning, where repairs, adjustments and limited reconditioning are carried out. It then returns for a final quality control inspection before it is cleared.

Delivery includes a guest orientation, so the coach is handed over with its systems demonstrated rather than simply signed for.
